AHA, THE LOCK-DOWN

   I ENDORSE HANDS DOWN

In the wake of the great lock-down
There has been a lull in the town.
Not a case has been reported of
A face fraught with flicker or frown.

My wife is fine, dressed in her gown
Be it blue, pink, white or brown.
She loves to look from the balcony
With her comb, sitting like a crown.

Bereft of traffic snarls and honking
City ranking jumps to sterling.
Now the day is alive to fresh blooms
And the night sleeps to her liking.

The dawn comes bright, and shining
The air is clean without a blighting.
One can breathe-in morning crispiness
And collect all freshness sans blinking.

There's none to straddle your silence
As you take it to its magnificence
And reach out to the innermost core
In a hyper loop of flooded effulgence.

Om Shantih
