Today is Buddha Poornima, the full moon day
It’s said Buddha got enlightenment on this day.
He is held the tenth embodiment of the Divine
The only one who isn’t mythological, so to say.
Enlightenment, well, is recklessly tossed about
It’s everywhere, from coffee table to self doubt.
It is not entanglement or its copy or its travesty
Nonchalantly, it’s a distant cry for any gadabout.
It’s beyond the realm of the physical and mental
It is also beyond what revs the duo, their mantle.
Enlightenment is an alignment with the creation
In which the seeker & creation are complemental.
The job of the moon is that of a catalytic mentor
The moon factors in, whatever may be the factor.
Full moon fast forwards on full throttle, & hence
Whoever needs last ditch effort, is the benefactor!
Buddha had worked on himself for six years, and
He was immediately in need of the last push, and
It happened, in totality. Everybody stood blessed:
Moon, river, pipal, virgin, kheer!What a Godsend!
