From his mother to be right away torn.
Although born within the prison walls
Vasudeva took him away, head-borne.
The unmanifest had become manifest
As if in answer to the relentless quest
of the yearning hearts, over the aeons.
His arrival put the eager hearts to rest.
Sire became son; impalpable , palpable.
What was impossible, became possible.
It was the most apocalyptic of all times.
Amity of the enchanter became feasible.
He was a darling of all, opulent or poor
Cowboy or a gopi, classmate or a ruler.
But there were few who could'nt grasp
The significance of Krishna's grandeur.
He lived amongst humans as a human
Underwent tribulations like any human
Suffered indignity & vituperation galore
He lived as the commonest of common.
What makes him look apart from the rest?
He being equal & yet quite above the rest?
It's his benign smile that played on his lips
Its enigma that made everyone feel, blest!
With Krishna in hearts, we can wish away
All the vicissitudes of life, in an easy way.
Everything passes in this transient world
With Kanhaai, we can smile hurdles away.
Om Shantih
Ajit Sambodhi.
